TAKE HELIX FOR A SPIN
Tilt aircraft
The Helix airframe tilts upwards for vertical takeoff and landing, pivoting to horizontal for forward flight. Other eVTOLs tilt their rotors, not their airframes. Fewer moving parts increases safety.
Landing gear
Simple integrated design significantly increases the places you can take off and land. Grass, dirt, gravel, asphalt, and concrete are all possibilities. A replaceable keel strip protects the belly.
Tandem wings
Unique among light eVTOLs, Helix's efficient wing + rotor design increases lift in forward flight and supports smooth takeoffs and landings. Easily detachable for transportation and storage.
Float
Placed at the lower end of the winglets and under the fuselage, five floats help Helix make safe emergency landings on water.
Propeller
Helix carbon propellers are custom designed and tuned to the guidance, navigation, and control system for high efficiency.
Motor
Eight electric motors are designed to create a high thrust-to-weight ratio, making Helix a light, yet powerful aircraft.
Battery
16 batteries, distributed across the wings, share energy and can be isolated for safety when needed. Our specialized, high performance cells provide the additional power needed for hover mode.
Elevon
Eight elevons combine the functionality of ailerons and elevators in a simple design to improve aerodynamics and control.
Radar
Four radar altimeter units track altitude above ground level (AGL) for more accurate and effortless auto-land.
Camera
Land your Helix with confidence by viewing the ground below with a high-resolution camera. Choose from HD and 4K options.
Aircraft parachute
Our ballistic parachute allows you to land safely in the rare event of an in-flight emergency. Another of Helix's many safety features.
Dual joysticks
Use your preferred hand to control Helix simply and intuitively. The second joystick is a backup for safety.
Flight panel
Big, bright, modern display provides all the info needed for navigation and safe, enjoyable flight.
Pitot tubes
Used to accurately measure the airspeed of the Helix, pitot tubes provide essential data for the aircraft control system.
Canopy
The Helix canopy is designed into the airframe, to provide increased field of view and reduced aerodynamic drag. Choose clear or tinted, depending on your flight environment.
